The primary goal of this initiative is the co-design of Controlled Environmental Agriculture (CEA) solutions through our pilot Decision Support (DS) system, aimed at enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the Attica region and its adjacent natural habitats.
The project demonstrates proof of concept for the development and implementation of innovative, sustainable technologies in greenhouse farming. Specifically, the platform allows users to define the ideal microclimate parameters for their crops. By leveraging integrated machine learning tools, it provides tailored recommendations for optimal equipment adjustments to achieve these desired conditions. This functionality not only improves precision in greenhouse management but also enhances energy and water efficiency, supporting sustainable cultivation practices.
These features are crucial tools for agronomists, enabling them to monitor dynamic conditions and take corrective actions when necessary to maintain optimal cultivation environments.
Attica Green is a hydroponic cultivation facility located in Spata, in the eastern region of Attica. It houses a series of greenhouses that produce high-quality, eco-friendly products. This unit was selected by the IMPETUS project to test and validate the decision support solutions for Controlled Environmental Agriculture.
